Community Serving Data Pledge

The Decolonizing Data Institute comes into being with a recognition that there is a potent history of data being weaponized against marginalized, racialized and equality deserving groups locally and globally. Community needs and priorities must inform data collection, use and analysis – and the DDI commits to processes that ensure that Data is a force for good, a catalyst for change and supports a shifting of power and resources in the hands of community advocates and organizations.
